We hit the right time 1998. We were some of the fortunate people to see Ayers Rock (or Uluru) in rain.
It was an awesome sight, the reddish colors all turned mostly brownish and there was so much water coming down the rock that there were some little waterfalls.
We slept in tents these times - and mine had a hole in the roof.
